A little about glass & arrow...

Aveen has been teaching Art and Design & Technology in the UK for over a decade and originally graduated from West Wales School of Arts with a BA in Ceramic Design. Her interest in arts & crafts continued after university, and she often found herself experimenting in various mediums, ranging from upholstery and woodwork to screen printing and silversmithing, always moving onto the next.

In 2020, Aveen was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to develop her knowledge and skills in stained glass from her home studio in Bristol during lockdown and was hooked.

Glass & Arrow was established the following year and her work is now being sold online and at Flourish, Bristol UK.

Easily one of my favourite days of last year! I haven't done a creative course maybe since I was a kid but this past year I'd discovered modern stained glass creations and really wanted to give it a go since it felt like a craft I could really get stuck into.
Aveen's workshop came up for courses based in/around Bristol and was ideal for me. Some other courses around the country looked a bit dated but Aveen's didn't so was keen to get in touch. Instead of the initial booked workshop at Flourish in Bristol, I went to her seaside home studio in Clevedon instead and it was a lovely, warm and inspiring space. Aveen was warm and accommodating too - I felt like I known her for ages - and due to not being able to come to a previous workshop I had booked and the fact I was doing the workshop solo she allowed me to choose my own template (that she kindly edited for me to help with time) which I really appreciated.
Aveen is a really good and thorough tutor providing history and education about stained glass plus she gives you lot's of tips that would otherwise take you a while to figure out if you were starting out on your own. Her space is clean, she make's sure everything is done safely, she gives you time to work by yourself but is on hand if you need any help and she provided beverages and cake. She even gave me a lift to the bus stop! I had such a lovely day, I made the perfect choice booking with Aveen - she was very encouraging and I can't wait to put my new skills to work with confidence. I'd recommend Aveen's workshop to anyone interested in stained glass, or just wanting to try out a new creative pursuit, in a heartbeat. Thank you, Aveen.
